Our mission at Lethwei Wear is to honor and support the traditional boxing of Myanmar known as Lethwei. One of the world’s most brutal and effective fighting arts, Lethwei is a unique form of Southeast Asian kickboxing.
It is also known as the Art of 9 Limbs due to an extensive range of fighting techniques including bare-fist punching, headbutting, elbowing, kneeing, and kicking.
Lethwei is a boxing tradition that is an integral part of Myanmar cultural heritage. It remains a national art, a historical legacy, a symbol of strength, and a source of national pride.
For the people of Myanmar, Lethwei is more than just a combat sport or fighting art. It is a part of their national identity, their tradition, and their culture. At Lethwei Wear, we honor the combat sport, fighting art, and traditions of Lethwei.
